Launched in 1950, the Aurelia was the world’s first car with a V6 engine - a 2.0L, all-aluminium beauty pumping out ~75 hp with a smooth, iconic exhaust note. The Series 2 adds refined carburetion for even better performance. 

Its clever transaxle (4-speed manual + rear differential) and unitary chassis (~1,100 kg) deliver near-perfect 50:50 balance. With semi-trailing-arm rear suspension and inboard drum brakes, it handles like a dream.

It was 1987. Ferrari was facing a crossroads. The world was favoring refinement, but the F40 wasn’t built for comfort - it was built for dominance. 

Personally approved by Enzo Ferrari for the brand’s 40th anniversary, it was the first production car to shatter the 200mph barrier.

With a body of Kevlar and Carbon Fibre, it was a race car masquerading for the road. No power steering. No power brakes. Just a gated magnesium shifter and a 2.9L twin-turbo V8 screaming behind your head.
