Get ready for some serious 1960’s style met with s Get ready for some serious 1960’s style met with some absolute grit.

There is something hypnotic about seeing the Jaguar MK2 - the quintessential British ‘gentleman’s express’ - trading smooth city streets for the brutal, snow-drenched hairpins of the ‘Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique’.

The MK2 wasn’t just a luxury lounge on wheels; with that legendary 3.8L straight-six engine, it was the fastest saloon in the world in its day. Favoured by Gangsters and Police alike!

Watching it dance through the Alps is a masterclass in controlled power and vintage soul!

THE Ferrari F40: The last masterpiece! It was 198 THE Ferrari F40: The last masterpiece!

It was 1987. Ferrari was facing a crossroads. The world was favoring refinement, but the F40 wasn’t built for comfort - it was built for dominance.

Personally approved by Enzo Ferrari for the brand’s 40th anniversary, it was the first production car to shatter the 200mph barrier.

With a body of Kevlar and Carbon Fibre, it was a race car masquerading for the road. No power steering. No power brakes. Just a gated magnesium shifter and a 2.9L twin-turbo V8 screaming behind your head.

The anatomy of an icon: If you acquired a low-mileage F40 in the early days, you aren’t just an enthusiast - you’re a visionary. The F40 has transitioned from a cutting-edge supercar into one of the most sought-after collector pieces in automotive history.

The Launch: Demand was so extreme upon release that ‘overs’ were paid instantly, and lucky owners were often offered double their initial commitment before the car was even delivered.

The Holding Period: While other icons of the era saw significant depreciation, the F40 held steady, maintaining its status even as newer, more tech-heavy models arrived.

The ‘Grail’ Era: Today, pristine, Classiche-certified cars are breaking records. Rare, delivery-mileage examples are now the stars of major global auctions.

 Why the desirability?
 - The Enzo legacy: As the final car Enzo signed off on, it represents the definitive end of an era.
 - Analogue Purity: In an age of hybrid assists, the F40’s raw, mechanical connection is a vanishing breed.
 - Scarcity: Only 1,311 were produced globally, with just 94 originally UK-registered car.

The F40 is a high-performance asset that delivers an experience unlike anything else on the road. The ceiling for this legend hasn’t been reached yet!

Before every car review became polished and predic Before every car review became polished and predictable, Top Gear gave us moments just like this.

Clarkson’s tribute to celebrate the Jaguar E-Type’s 50th anniversary, back in 2011, remains one of the programme’s finest features - cinematic, passionate and a reminder of when car television could genuinely make you feel something. Even now, years later, it still hits the same way.

And the car deserved nothing less. First revealed in 1961, the E-Type became an instant icon with looks that stunned the world and performance that embarrassed far more expensive machinery.

Half a century later, Top Gear marked the milestone in style - and today it still feels every bit as special.

Some features age well.
Some legends never fade.

The Day the McLaren F1 Became Untouchable 🏁 On Ma The Day the McLaren F1 Became Untouchable 🏁

On March 31, 1998, McLaren set out to prove what the XP5 prototype could really do. They headed to the Ehra-Lessien test track in Germany - a 5.4-mile straightaway owned by Volkswagen - with one goal: absolute speed.

Behind the wheel was Andy Wallace, McLaren’s chief test driver and a Le Mans winner. To give the car its best shot, the team raised the rev limiter on the 6.1L BMW V12 to 8,300 rpm.

The Results:
• Peak Speed: A mind-bending 242.8 mph (391 km/h).
• Official Record: A two-way average of 240.1 mph (386.4 km/h).

It didn’t just break the Jaguar XJ220’s record of 217 mph; it moved the goalposts so far that it took seven years and a quad-turbocharged Bugatti Veyron to finally beat it.

Even now, in 2026, the F1 holds a crown no one has been able to take: it remains the fastest naturally aspirated production car ever made. No turbos, no hybrid assist - just pure engineering and a screaming V12.

Jaguar Racing Legends in Focus! 🇬🇧 A look through Jaguar Racing Legends in Focus! 🇬🇧

A look through time with this stunning lineup of Jaguar icons! From top to bottom: the C-Type, D-Type, XJ13 and XJ220 each a masterpiece of engineering and design.

🌟 C-Type (1951): Jaguar’s first purpose-built race car, the C-Type revolutionised motorsport with its lightweight aluminum body and 3.4-litre XK inline-six engine producing around 200 bhp. Its victory at the 1951 Le Mans 24 Hours, followed by another in 1953, showcased its aerodynamic brilliance and set the stage for Jaguar’s racing dominance.

🌟 D-Type (1954): A true engineering marvel, the D-Type featured a distinctive vertical stabiliser and a semi-monocoque chassis - a racing first. Powered by a 3.4-litre (later 3.8-litre) XK engine, it delivered up to 250 bhp. Its Le Mans wins in 1955, 1956, and 1957, including a record-breaking average speed in 1955, solidified Jaguar’s reputation as a force in endurance racing.

🌟 XJ13 (1966): This mid-engine prototype was Jaguar’s bold attempt to reclaim Le Mans glory with a 5.0-liter V12 engine producing 502 bhp. Designed for the 1966 season, it never competed due to rule changes and cashflow changing priorities at Jaguar. Its sleek, futuristic design and raw power make it a cult favorite among enthusiasts.

🌟 XJ220 (1992): Born from a Group B rally concept, the XJ220 evolved into a road-legal supercar with a twin-turbo 3.5-litre V6 engine (later 6.2-litre naturally aspirated in concept form) pumping out 542bhp. Achieving a top speed of 212 mph in 1992, it briefly held the title of the world’s fastest production car, blending cutting-edge tech with Jaguar’s classic styling.

This picture captures the essence of Jaguar’s racing heritage - speed, style and innovation across decades.

The End of an Era: The Last ever E-Type 🏁 This is The End of an Era: The Last ever E-Type 🏁

This is not just a group photo; it’s a farewell to a legend. Captured at Jaguar’s Browns Lane factory in late 1974, this image shows the very last Jaguar E-Type ever produced.

Surrounding the car - a Series 3 V12 Roadster, registered as HDU 555N - are the engineers and factory workers who brought this British icon to life.

By this moment, the E-Type had enjoyed a 14-year reign as the gold standard of automotive beauty. Even Enzo Ferrari got in on the act and called it ‘the most beautiful car ever made’.

While the rows of XJ saloons in the background represented the company’s future, the black Roadster in the center marked the final heartbeat of a cultural phenomenon.

Today, this exact car lives on in the Jaguar Heritage Trust collection - a permanent reminder of the day the ‘Swinging Sixties’ finally came to a halt in Coventry.

This Rolls-Royce used to chauffeur royalty 👑 Mee This Rolls-Royce used to chauffeur royalty 👑

Meet the Phantom II Ice Cream Van - quite possibly the most elegant thing ever to dispense a soft serve.

Originally commissioned in 1932 by Hooper & Co. of King’s Road, Chelsea, this pre-war limousine arrived with a fixed-bench front seat and a dignified 2+2 arrangement.

Then a previous owner had a rather decisive moment: he simply sawed the Hooper coachwork clean off at the waistline. Roof, door tops and glass? Gone forever.

Painted white and fitted with a canvas hood, it spent years moonlighting as a wedding car.

Enter Stuart Whitby - a man who trained with Rolls-Royce Motor Cars before co-founding Whitby Morrison, the world’s finest ice-cream van builders. He rescued the noble chassis and turned a lifelong dream into this glorious, one-of-a-kind ice-cream beauty.

Because why should the aristocracy have all the fun?
