The two-seat V12 barchetta that helped launch Ferrari’s Icona series

The Ferrari Monza SP2 has a quiet elegance that suits its dramatic proportions. A long bonnet, low nose and sculpted fairings behind both seats give it the unmistakable silhouette of a Ferrari sports racer.

Unveiled at Maranello in 2018 alongside the single-seat SP1, the Monza SP2 draws on the Ferrari 166 MM, 750 Monza and 860 Monza. Its carbon-fibre bodywork, upward-opening doors and one-piece front clamshell bring that barchetta form into the modern era. Ferrari’s patented Virtual Wind Shield redirects airflow around the driver, allowing the bodywork to retain its low profile without a conventional windscreen.

Beneath the bonnet sits a naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 producing 810 PS at 8,500 rpm. Paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, it takes the SP2 from 0–100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and to 200 km/h in 7.9 seconds. The second seat makes that open-air V12 experience something to share.
